The University of West Florida (UWF) Anthropology Department and student members of the Graduate Anthropology Association (GAA) celebrated National Archaeology Day by introducing students, faculty, and staff of the UWF campus to archaeology.
The AIA-Central Mississippi Chapter hosted the Mississippi Archaeology Expo at Millsaps College.
The Maxine & Jesse Whitney Museum and the Valdez Museum & Historical Archive teamed up to bring National Archaeology Day to Valdez, Alaska.
Bighorn Canyon hosted a dedication ceremony for the Two Eagles Interpretive Trail, which opened on National Archaeology Day.
The Houston Society presented "Ancient Encounters Houston" a booth with hands-on activities for children at the KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou.
