To commemorate National Archaeology and National Fossil Days within the month of October, the AIA East TN Chapter and the Frank H. McClung Musuem are hosting an afternoon event. From 1:00-5:00 pm on Sunday Oct. 21, visitors can bring in Indian artifacts, animal bones, fossils, and rocks to be identified. There will be a pottery demonstration, flintknapping, and activities for kids. Professionals and graduate students within the fields of archaeology and paleontology will have displays showcasing their work and will be available to answer questions. The event is free and open to the public.
