Come and celebrate National Archaeology Day at the Royal Ontario Museum, with archaeological talks and events for the family.

Learn how to think like an archaeologist through activities for the whole family. Talk to student archaeologists who have made exciting new discoveries at sites across the world. Meet a field doctor from the War of 1812 and see how historic re-enactors help archaeologists bring the past to life. Learn from museum experts who show you how ancient objects were made, and how they have been preserved.  Then try your hand at digging for treasure, repairing an ‘ancient’ pot, and more.

In the lecture theatre will be a series of talks by archaeologists about fieldwork and ancient cultures.

Events are funded by the generosity of the A.G. Leventis Foundation and the Archaeological Institute of America.
