The Houston Society of AIA is celebrating National Archaeology Day by presenting "Ancient Encounters-Houston" as part of KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou.  Ancient Encounters features hands-on activities for kids and their families that will acquaint children with indigenous groups who used Buffalo Bayou.  Activities will include flintknapping demonstration, an opportunty to 'excavate' a midden, make a bead necklace, and do a bone count to determine Akokisa diet.
