In honour of National Archaeology Day, the Museum of Classical Antiquities at the University of Ottawa, in collaboration with the Embassy of Greece and the AIA Ottawa Chapter, is hosting a new exhibition on Greek reproductions. Reproducing the Past: Replicas from Ancient Greece: Celebrating Seventy Years of Diplomatic Relations Between Greece and Canada is taking place to recognize the friendship between Greece and Canada while highlighting Greek history, with an emphasis on reproductions and their effects on academia and the world. The event will consist of the exhibition of various reproductions and lectures by Curator Antonia Holden and Professor Edmund Bloedow, both of the University of Ottawa, with the keynote address being delivered by Professor Jacques Perreault of the University of Montreal.
