Join ART conservators on a behind-the-scenes tour. Hear how conservators, curators, engineers, and scientists are working together to improve the stability and appearance of two elaborately carved sarcophagi (coffins) from the 4th and 3rd centuries B.C. The sarcophagi were discovered in Vulci (Italy) in the 1840’s and have been on display at the MFA since the 1880’s. Each tour is limited to 10 people; tickets will be distributed in Gallery 117 starting at 5:45pm.
