The Archaeologist Specialist I is a developmental position that supports the project team by assisting in archaeological surveys, producing archaeological reports and other related tasks. In this role, an employee will be expected to assist in conducting archaeological site investigations, assist with data collection, record keeping, and photo documentation, prepare draft summaries, maintain a safe work environment, ensure product quility, communicate workload status, and other related tasks. An employee must demonstrate accountability and dependability, and be capable of taveling long distances for extended periods of time as projects need. This employee must have a graduate degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. The employee must be able to demonstrate a basic understanding and entry level application of the following technical skills: Artifacts Identification, Orienteering and Mapping, Plan Interpretation, Site Planning, Soil Erosion, Archaeology, Anthropology, Technical Writing, MS Office.
