April Nowell

April Nowell is Associate Professor with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Victoria, and holds her degrees from McGill University (B.A.) and the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D.). Her area of specialization is the Paleolithic Near East, and she is Project Director for the Druze Marsh Paleolithic Project in Jordan.  She has done extensive field work in Jordan, including at Madaba.  She has published extensively, and her most recent work is Stone Tools and the Evolution of Human Cognition (editor with Ian Davidson, University of Colorado Press, 2010)
