Richard Hansen

Richard D. Hansen is with the Foundation for Anthropological Research & Environmental Studies (FARES) and is Senior Scientist for the Institute for Mesoamerican Research at Idaho State University.  He holds his degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (Ph.D.) and Brigham Young University (M.S., B.S.s), and his areas of specialization are the early civilizations and origins of complex society in Mesoamerica, and the Maya.
