Archaeology at Historic St. Mary's City

As part of National Archaeology Day, Silas Hurry, curator of collections at Historic St. Mary's City, will be on hand at one of the organization's exhibits. This living history site has a strong tradition of archaeological research and excavation. To round off the evening, archaeologist Ruth Mitchell will be lecturing at the fall meeting of the Archeological Society of Maryland, Inc. in LaPlata.
University of Alaska Anchorage hosted International Archaeology Day on October 19th.
The Northeast Region of the Florida Public Archaeology Network hosted an Archaeology Bar Crawl through downtown St. Augustine in honor of International Archaeology Day.
The Commission to Preserve National Monuments celebrated the International Archaeology Day with a series of events titled "Cultural Memory, a Vanishing Treasure: Archaeological Heritage of BiH."
