Underground Railroad History Project Joins as Collaborating Organization

The Underground Railroad History Project of the NY Capital Region has joined as a Collaborating Organization for National Archaeology Day. On October 23, they will be presenting a lecture by Corey McQuinn on the racialization of archaeology featuring vintage photographs of Stephen and Harriet Myers.
The event will be held at the Stephen and Harriet Myers Residence, an historic Underground Railroad site, from 5-7pm on Tuesday, October 23. Tickets are $20 per person and food will be served.

Volunteers are needed to monitor the translations of the International Archaeology Day webpage.
After two years of great success, National Archaeology Day will change to International Archaeology Day for 2013.
The Friends of the Office of State Archaeology in Connecticut acted as a participating partner in National Archaeology Day by sponsoring an Archaeology Fair.
