The Louisville Classical Academy Presents "Keep Louisville Classical: Hands on Archaeology"

On National Archaeology Day, the Louisville Classical Academy will be bringing archaeological techniques to the next generation of scholars and explorers. In "Keep Louisville Classical: Hands on Archaeology" students in grades 3-8 will have the opportunity to clean, identify, classify and date materials from local excavations. Topics in classical archaeology of the ancient Mediterranean will also be discussed. Student admission is $5.
The Bayon Information Center in Siem Reap, Cambodia has joined as a new Collaborating Organization for International Archaeology Day 2013.
The Legacy: Hands on the Past, Center for Archaeological Research at The University of Texas at San Antonio and Frank H. McClung Museum at the University of Tennessee Knoxville have returned for International Archaeology Day 2013.
This week, the AIA has paired with two new organizations to promote International Archaeology Day 2013.
