Two Organizations Join During First Days of August

AntiquityNOW and the Massachusetts Historical Commission have joined the Archaeological Institute of America as Collaborating Organizations for International Archaeology Day 2013.
AntiquityNOW, an education organization that works with educators on bringing archaeology into the classroom through curriculum creation and the arts, will be supporting International Archaeology Day through social media and a conference presentation to educators.
The Massachusetts Historical Commission will be hosting Archaeology Month in the Commonwealth during the Month of October. This month long celebration of archaeology includes events in many towns and cities throughout the state. There will be nearly 100 events throughout the month of Octobe in Massachusetts and they include archeology fairs, tours, and symposia at local universities. All of the Massachusetts Archaeology Month events are now posted on the Archaeology Day Calendar.

The AIA Spokane Society celebrated the 2013 International Archaeology Day over two days, with lectures and workshops
