The Arkansas Archaeological Survey Opened its Doors for International Archaeology Day

On October 12, the Arkansas Archeological Survey - Blytheville Station hosted Open Lab Day at their office in honor of International Archaeology Day. Volunteers were able to work with the collections, and sorting and cleaning artifacts. Local archaeology in northeastern Arkansas was a main topic of discussion among the participants. This is the second year the Arkansas Archaeological Survey has participated as a collaborating organization.
University of Alaska Anchorage hosted International Archaeology Day on October 19th.
The Northeast Region of the Florida Public Archaeology Network hosted an Archaeology Bar Crawl through downtown St. Augustine in honor of International Archaeology Day.
The Commission to Preserve National Monuments celebrated the International Archaeology Day with a series of events titled "Cultural Memory, a Vanishing Treasure: Archaeological Heritage of BiH."
