Wisconsin Historical Museum's Hosts Kids' Event for International Archaeology Day

For International Archaeology Day, the Wisconsin Historical Museum held a drop-in, hands-on activity for kids on October 19, 2013. Using their Museum Archaeology Program Kit, the museum taught 39 participants how archaeologists identify Native American points and how to do a basic site analysis. Visitors also learned a little bit about the prehistory of Wisconsin.
Project Archaeology at the Beaverhead Museum hosted a teacher/student Archaeology Day for the region.
