AIA-Dayton Society Celebrates National Archaeology Day

83 people participated in the AIA-Dayton Society's National Archaeology Day event at SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park. A ground penetrating radar demonstration by Wright State University’s Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences was a big hit among the adults and kids got a kick out of tool displays available during the event. The beautiful weather contributed to the success of the event and Dayton Society members were able to give out info on joining the AIA and the Dayton Society as well as about the lectures that they have starting in January.
The Bayon Information Center in Siem Reap, Cambodia has joined as a new Collaborating Organization for International Archaeology Day 2013.
The Legacy: Hands on the Past, Center for Archaeological Research at The University of Texas at San Antonio and Frank H. McClung Museum at the University of Tennessee Knoxville have returned for International Archaeology Day 2013.
This week, the AIA has paired with two new organizations to promote International Archaeology Day 2013.
