Friends of Aztalan State Park and the Wisconsin Archeological Society to Celebrate National Archaeology Day
March 23, 2012
This October the Friends of Aztalan State Park Foundation in conjunction with the Wisconsin Archeological Society will host a National Archaeology Day event at Aztlan State Park. Aztlan State Park is the site of a Mississippian village with two intact platform mounds and a 24 acre palisaded enclosure reconstruction. National Archaeology Day events will include site tours and a lunchtime cookout.
As preparations for International Archaeology Day pick up speed, more groups sign on daily. Today, four new groups joined the cause.
The Society for California Archaeology has signed on as a collaborating organization for International Archaeology Day.
2013's International Archaeology Day sees the return of many collaborating organizations from years past!
