Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village to Celebrate National Archaeology Day!

The Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village in Mitchell, South Dakota will join in the festivities for National Archaeology Day! They plan to exhibit posters, artifacts, and other materials from archaeological sites around the world. Last year, Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village held a National Archaeology Day event and to honor "one of the most famous archaeologists in recent history", Indiana Jones, anyone who wore a fedora received free admission!
International Archaeology Day in Anchorage, Alaska was hosted by archaeologists from the state and federal level at University of Anchorage.
For International Archaeology Day, the Oriental Institute hosted a film screening "Breaking Ground: the Story of the Oriental Institute."
