Indiana Department of Natural Resources to Celebrate National Archaeology Day

Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology will be a Collaborating Organization for National Archaeology Day this October. In honor of National Archaeology Day, Facebook followers of the Indiana Department of Natural Resoruces can "talk" online with Senior Archaeologist and Archaeology Outreach Coordinator Amy Johnson on Friday, October 19th, from 1pm to 2pm, on the DNR's Facebook walls. Participants will be able to ask questions about topics such as archaeology in Indiana, artifacts, the laws that protect archaeological sites, important sites you can visit, and more.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology will also promote National Archaeology Day in a press release, in it's monthly e-newsletter, and in the Historic Preservation and Arcaeology Division newsletter.
As preparations for International Archaeology Day pick up speed, more groups sign on daily. Today, four new groups joined the cause.
The Society for California Archaeology has signed on as a collaborating organization for International Archaeology Day.
2013's International Archaeology Day sees the return of many collaborating organizations from years past!
