Indiana Department of Natural Resources to Celebrate National Archaeology Day
April 10, 2012
Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology will be a Collaborating Organization for National Archaeology Day this October. In honor of National Archaeology Day, Facebook followers of the Indiana Department of Natural Resoruces can "talk" online with Senior Archaeologist and Archaeology Outreach Coordinator Amy Johnson on Friday, October 19th, from 1pm to 2pm, on the DNR's Facebook walls. Participants will be able to ask questions about topics such as archaeology in Indiana, artifacts, the laws that protect archaeological sites, important sites you can visit, and more.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology will also promote National Archaeology Day in a press release, in it's monthly e-newsletter, and in the Historic Preservation and Arcaeology Division newsletter.
More Collaborating Organizations have joined us for International Archaeology Day 2014!
We are so excited to be celebrating International Archaeology Day again this year on October 18, 2014 to raise awareness for archaeology and provide opportunities for the public to participate in archaeological activities.
In preparation for IAD 2014, we just set up a new webpage with precomposed e-mail invitations that you can easily send to your contacts.
