Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site Celebrates National Archaeology Day as a Collaborating Organization
April 11, 2012
For National Archaeology Day, Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site will offer guided tours to view the Lower Pecos Pictographs. The moderately strenuous tours will begin at 10AM and 3pm and last for approximately an hour and a half. During the 2 mile walk, visitors will see some of Texas's oldest known pictographs. Questions can be addressed to the park at 432.292.4464.
As preparations for International Archaeology Day pick up speed, more groups sign on daily. Today, four new groups joined the cause.
The Society for California Archaeology has signed on as a collaborating organization for International Archaeology Day.
2013's International Archaeology Day sees the return of many collaborating organizations from years past!
