Pilgrim Hall Museum to Display Standish Collection Saturdays in October

During October, the month of National Archaeology Day, Pilgrim Hall Museum will display its Myles Standish Archaeology collection every Saturday from 10am to 4pm. The collection is from the 1856 excavation of the Standish home site in Duxbury, Massachusetts. This will be the first time since the 1860s that the entire Standish archaeological collection has been brought together for public display.
University of Alaska Anchorage hosted International Archaeology Day on October 19th.
The Northeast Region of the Florida Public Archaeology Network hosted an Archaeology Bar Crawl through downtown St. Augustine in honor of International Archaeology Day.
The Commission to Preserve National Monuments celebrated the International Archaeology Day with a series of events titled "Cultural Memory, a Vanishing Treasure: Archaeological Heritage of BiH."
