AIA Lecturer/Host: Mary E. Voyatzis

Mary E. Voyatzis is a Professor at the University of Arizona in the School of Anthropology and the Department of Classics. She served as head of Classics from 2000 to 2009. Her area of expertise is Greek pottery, sanctuaries, temples, and ritual practices at ancient cult places. From 1990 to 1996, she worked as a principal investigator at the Sanctuary of Athena Alea at Tegea in the Peloponnese. Since 2004 she has been codirecting the Mt. Lykaion Excavation and Survey Project, an investigation of the Sanctuary of Zeus at Mt. Lykaion.
