The Tenth Annual Fort Daniel Frontier Faire invites the public on Saturday, October 20, 2018 to celebrate International Archaeology Day and the Bicentennial history of Gwinnett County.  Fort Daniel is an 1813 Creek Indian War frontier militia fort site located in Buford, GA. Our Frontier Faire is centered upon the ongoing supervised archaeological  excavation, and includes period demonstrations and re-enactors, an open house in our archaeology lab and museum, and storytelling with Barry Mann. Check out the museum tent, blacksmithing program, geneaological resources, SGA Archaeobus, living history demonstrations, and more.  There will be a flag-raising by the Boy Scouts. Admission: $2 ea or $5 family. Sponsored by GARS (Gwinnett Archaeological Research Society) and FDF (The Fort Daniel Foundation).
