The Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology 2018 Conference will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Oct. 18-21 at the Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites.
The conference offers thematic sessions and individual papers, posters, tours, and workshops. This year’s theme is Technology in Archaeology. Many technologies aid archaeological inquiry and communication. They include geophysics, GIS, drones, digital 3D visualization, portable XRF, and a variety of software applications. Conference events and tours will showcase Nova Scotia’s rich heritage, and workshops will provide hands-on learning opportunities with a range of geophysical tools and survey technologies.
