Archeologia sacrum (Archaeology of sacrum)

October 19, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm CEST

Muzeum Górnośląskie w Bytomiu
pl. Jana III Sobieskiego 2
Bytom, śląskie 41-902 Poland

This year our main interest is archaeology of sacrum: cemetaries, churches and all relics related with that topic. There will be lectures – one of them will be “Forgotten necropoles” by Dorota Podyma, workshops, special guided tour of the exhibition “Legendary Sutuhali? Archaeology of St. Margaret’s Hill” with anthropologist Agata Hałuszko and curator Beata Badura. We have planned the second, one day exhibition “Relics of the disappeared St. Georg church in Gliwice-Czechowice” by Radosław Zdaniewicz. Youngsters will be fond of making their own burial masks and glass holy (or not) medals.
