Archeology Day Celebration!

Visitors to the park will have the opportunity to learn more about archeological excavations that have taken place in Rome, NY as well as throughout New York State. Staff and professional archeologists from the several National Park Service and New York State sites will have displays in the visitor center and be available throughout the event. Visitors will also have the opportunity to dig into the world of archeology to learn more about the tools archeologists use, tour the museum collections, and see some of the artifacts uncovered at the site.

This event is free and open to the public. Between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, hands-on activities and displays will take place at the Fort Stanwix National Monument visitor center located at 100 North James Street.
