Professor Rian Thum (Loyola University – New Orleans) will present a lecture on his ongoing research with the historic sites and modern populations living along the Silk Road in China. Rian is a native of St. Louis. His doctoral research at Harvard University resulted in the publication of “The Sacred Routes of Uyghur History” (Harvard University Press, 2014).
