Coffee with an Archaeologist

Stop by for a cup of coffee and learn about the archaeology of the Imperial Valley from prehistoric Native Americans to General Patton’s training activities. Visitors will have a chance to touch and examine a variety of artifacts and fossils recovered from lands managed by the BLM El Centro Field Office as well as chat with a professional archaeologist. Make and take home your very own rock art at the kids’ craft station! Event will start at 10:00 am at the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area, Buttercup Ranger Station.
