Farm Focus Weekend: Chinking and Daubing

September 29, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm EDT

Barrington Plantation State Historic Site
23400 Park Rd. 12
Washington, TX 77880 United States

Patching the chinking and daubing between the logs of the slave cabins to keep the elements out would be a seasonal task for those enslaved at Barrington Plantation. Roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty as you mix the clay daub and put it up on the walls of the cabin!
