VIRTUAL - Frederick A. Luce Collection Virtual Open House

October 17, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

This is an online event hosted in Haverhill, MA United States.

Join us for a virtual Archaeology Open House to celebrate Massachusetts Archaeology Month and International Archaeology Day. Archaeology volunteer Nancy Lebar has brought rarely seen items from the Frederick A. Luce Collection out of storage and will be sharing them with you in this Zoom program.

Featured artifacts include lithics, steatite bowl fragments, and ceramic fragments that span the ancient occupational period of Native Americans in the Haverhill and Bradford areas. Lebar will describe the uses of these artifacts and talk about the people who made and used them in their daily lives along the Merrimack River.
