Hoofprints from Antiquity – Xenophon as Equestrian

Using Xenophon’s “Equitation Treatise” as a source of information about Classical Greek military riding, Prof. Gaebel will attempt to match Xenophon’s descriptions with ancient figured evidence (sculpture and vase painting). Where appropriate, photos of modern Dressage and Jumping are brought in for comparison.
