International Archaeology Day at the New Jersey State Museum

We will be presenting lectures by Dr. Patricia Hansell, Temple University, “Reassessment of the Prehistoric Settlements in the Pinelands” and Dr. Richard Viet, Monmouth University, “The Archaeology of the Pinelands Heritage at the Cedar Bridge Tavern”.

We will have archaeologists manning a table on first floor of the museum with archaeology catalogues and archaeology magazines to give away,
pottery reconstruction activities and artifact identifications.

We will be giving tours of our archaeological exhibitions and showing a video Raritan Landing: Road to the Past, about the excavations at a major archaeological site in New Jersey .
