Moon over the Mounds at the Crystal River Archaeological State Park

October 26, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

Crystal River Archaeological State Park
3400 N. Museum Point
Crystal River, FL 34428 United States

The Crystal River Archaeological State Park continues the popular monthly guided evening walking tours. This event is a torch-lit tour of the site led by professional interpretive guides through the moonlit Crystal River Archaeological State Park complex. The Crystal River archaeological site, a National Historic Landmark, is a world-famous pre-Columbian ceremonial center on Florida’s west coast.

Travel back in time to experience the park under the full moon and catch a glimpse of what life was like living on the Crystal River from 1000 BC to AD 1000. The event is free but donations are welcome. This fund-raising event is sponsored by the Friends of Crystal River State Parks. Recommended donations of $5.00 per person will be applied to sustaining future interpretive programming in the park.
