On Saturday October 12th the NYC Urban Soils Institute will host the Urban Soils Art and Harvest Festival at Gateway National Recreation Area. The festival will feature demonstrations, exhibits, and guided tours from scientists, urban farmers, artists, educators, and park rangers. To celebrate International Archeology Day, join the park archeologist to see artifacts and “tools of the trade” and learn more about the history, soil, and archeology of the area.
