Presented by Dr. Donald Ryan

After nearly two hundred years of exploration, and over ninety years since the finding of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922, the Valley of the Kings continues to produce new surprises, insights, and puzzles. In this lecture, archaeologist/ Egyptologist Donald P. Ryan will share some of his recent discoveries while investigating some of the lesser-known tombs in the ancient royal cemetery. These include the rediscovery of three tombs that once contained the mummies of animals, and the excavation of a tomb that might have played a very unusual role in the Valley’s history.
