Stone Prayers: Native American Constructions of the Eastern Seaboard

Archaeologist and author Curtiss Hoffman (who is with Bridgewater State College) will explore the competing hypotheses for the origin of thousands of stone constructs have been found scattered throughout the eastern seaboard of the United States and Canada. In particular, the idea they were constructed as sacred places by indigenous peoples of the region. Copies of his book will be for sale after the presentation.
