‘The Future of West Virginia Archeology’

 

Date: Saturday, August 18, 2018

Time: Registration: 9:00-10:00

Workshop: 10:00 to 12:00, 1:30 to 4:00

(Lunch Break: 12:00-1:30pm)

Where: Holiday Inn, South Charleston, West Virginia

 

The workshop is open to the public and is free.

The Workshop will cover a brief history of archeology in West Virginia, the West Virginia Archeological Society, Archeology in State Colleges and Universities. The objectives are to recruit young members who will be able to support the society and to get local archeology into the Colleges and Universities. The workshop will also address the future of the West Virginia Archeologist and the West Virginia Archeological Society and expanding the role of the Council For West Virginia Archaeology. Selected Back issues of the West Virginia Archeologist will be available to attendees for free.
