AIA Society: Orange County

Dr. Paul Scotton, Professor of Classics and chair of the department at Long Beach State University, will present the latest findings from his dig at Lechaion, the main harbor of ancient Corinth, Greece. Lechaion was the center of trade and commerce in the ancient Mediterranean for about 1400 years until it was destroyed by an earthquake in the mid to late 6th century AD. Other than for light farming, the site has been undisturbed since then.
