Join the Nashville Parthenon Virtual Summer Symposia series! This is the first of three Symposia; the other two will be July 21 and August 18. All three support new exhibition ‘The Antikythera Mechanism’ at the Nashville Parthenon through September 26.
Dr. Tuck’s talk will focus on some of the most famous and exciting archaeological discoveries, including the Antikythera mechanism. His talk will include an introduction to some of the major archaeological sites and finds across the ancient world, and share how the Antikythera mechanism fits into the category of important, field-changing artifacts. After his presentation, Professor Tuck will have dedicated time for questions and discussion with the virtual audience.
Dr. Tuck holds a Ph.D. in Classical Art and Archaeology from the University of Michigan, and is a Professor in the College of Arts & Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
