A level, 2.5 hour walk along part of the Merrimack River Branch of the Middlesex Canal in Billerica and Chelmsford with over three to four miles of generally wooded terrain. Sites visited on the tour will include the recently restored guard lock, the anchor stone for the floating towpath that bridged the Concord River, and many stretches of the watered canal.
