There are several burial mounds from the Bronze Age in the forest close to the summer residence of the Czechoslovak presidents at Lány castle. Excavations were conducted here in the beginning of 20th century and the first Czechoslovak president T. G. Masaryk supported the archaeologists, not only with money. He periodically visited the excavations on his horse and was interested in the finds. This education walk commemorates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic.
