William & Mary’s Institute for Pilgrimage Studies will host an international conference on "Travel­ing Traditions: Pilgrimage across Time and Cultures" with scholars  from the US, Canada, Germany, Turkey, Spain and India (Saturday & Sunday, October 13-14, Cohen Career Center, College of William & Mary).  In addition to the day and a half of scholarly papers on pilgrimage, for which registration is required, there are also two free public events with receptions: a rough-cut screening of the new file The Camino Documentary (Friday, October 12, 7:00 pm, Muscarelle Museum)  and a dance perform­ance based on universal pilgrimage movement with troupes from Washington & Lee Univ. and William & Mary (Saturday, October 13, 7:00 pm, Williamsburg Regional Library).
