The Fifth Annual Milwaukee Archaeology Fair will take place at the Milwaukee Public Museum on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8, 2014. The Fair will be open from 10 AM to 3 PM both days. There will be plenty of hands-on demonstrations, presentations and re-enactments, designed to help bring the cultures of the past to life for visitors of all ages.
Presentations will include exploration of archaeology, art and writing systems from as close as Native American Wisconsin to as far away as Egypt, Europe, and Asia. Re-enactors will demonstrate Roman, Celtic, Greek, Medieval, and Colonial period dress and crafts.
Participants will include professional archaeologists, archaeology students and museum professionals who will all be available to introduce visitors to the world of archaeology and to answer visitors' questions about their activities.
