This is your chance to meet archaeologists, learn of their research and adventures, and to see one-day-only exhibits from digs and underwater explorations. Add to this a cartload of fun family activities, and by the end of the day, everyone will "dig" history!

  • See artifact displays and learn about new discoveries
  • Try hitting a deer target using a dart and atlatl, just like hunters did thousands of years ago
  • Observe an expert flintknapper at work
  • Relax in the theater and listen to experts share their latest research
  • Dig in a mock excavation (kids under 10)
  • Make and decorate your own pottery
  • Team up to solve hands-on history puzzles in the Archaeology Escape Room
  • Tour recently updated permanent exhibits

Admission and parking are free!
