The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Orange County AIA Society, and the New World Archaeology Council of the AIA is proud to sponsor a panel discussion and symposium covering the colossal masterpieces of the ancient Olmec civilization. The panel discussion, entitled "The Cascajal Block and Other Evidence of Early Writing in the New World," will be held on October 22, 2010 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Olmec Symposium will be on October 23, 2010 from 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Preregistration may be required.
