During Sweden’s Age of Great Power (Stormaktstiden)\, trade routes became strategic assets though efforts to control them often failed. \nGlobal transactions later fueled the Industrial Revolution and continues to influence politics. From ancient customs to modern cooperation\, trade remains a defining force in the region’s history – and its future.
