DESCRIPTION:Come along to Avebury House to learn more about the history of Ōtautahi Christchurch through an archaeology-inspired zine making workshop. This event showcases stories of the past through archaeological artefacts that have been uncovered in Christchurch over the last decade. \nThese stories – and artefacts – will be reimagined and their stories retold through the twenty-first century past-time of zine making\, utilising art and creative practice to bring nineteenth century stories into the present day. \nWe will have artefacts on display\, with an archaeologist available to answer all your questions. \nAn art educator will also be on hand to help with techniques and designs\, along with coloured papers\, pens\, pencils\, crayons\, and glue to make your very own history-inspired zine\, which you are welcome to take home at the end of the day.
