Project Description
The Course of Archaeology is a research project investigating the site of El Castillo, from the Iron Age and medieval place in the municipality of Castelflorite (Huesca, Spain).
The field school is aimed at students or graduates of archaeology who wish to gain hands-on experience in the archaeological excavation. There will be complementary activities and lab classes, although the major component of the course is fieldwork, with students spending an average of 7-8 hours per day on site. The focus of the fieldwork will be on excavation techniques and documentation methods.
Accommodation: Board and accommodation will be provided. All necessary facilities are provided and it is located a short walk from the site.
Cost: The cost per session (14 days) is 850 €. This includes board and accommodation, tuition, lectures and transport from Zaragoza / Huesca to Castelflorite. Zaragoza is a city of one million inhabitants, is well connected by train and airport.
It would be a pleasure to offer a 10% discount offer by the City Council of Castelflorite to all the students.
Also a 10% discount if you register in more than one course, and finally a 10% total discount for registrations for groups of at least four students.

Room and Board Arrangements
Accommodation is provided in simple but comfortable barracks, Please bring necessary bedding or sleeping bag,comfortable clothes for excavation and casual wear, and mountain shoes. Meals are included: breakfast (8 am), lunch (11 am) (three meals to choose from), and dinner.
