AIA Lecturer: Alan Kaiser

Affiliation: University of Evansville

Dr. Alan Kaiser received his Ph.D. in Archaeology from Boston University and is currently an Assistant Professor of Archaeology at the University of Evansville. He specializes in Roman urban space. In 2000 he published The Urban Dialogue: An analysis of the use of space in the Roman city of Emp√∫ries, Spain, and is working on a second book The Street in Roman Imperial Cities. He has conducted fieldwork in Spain, Italy, England, Greece and the United States. In 2001 he also held the position of Programs Administrator at the Archaeological Institute of America, organizing the annual lecture series for 103 local AIA societies.
