AIA Lecturer: Eugénia Cunha

Eugénia Cunha is a Professor with the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and holds degrees in Biological and Physcical Anthropology.  She has been a consultant for the National Institute of Legal Medicine in Portugal since 1997, and the President of FASE (Forensic Anthropology Society of Europe) since 2009.  Her areas of specialization are forensic anthropology, paleopathology, and human evolution.  She has done fieldwork in Portugal, East Timor, Guinea-Bissau, Chechnya.  Professor Cunha is the AIA’s 2010/2011 Archaeology of Portugal Lecturer.
